Game Time (2011)
After moving from Wisconsin to New York City, Vance Halden and his mother end up living in one of the poorest boroughs in the city. To make matters worse, Vance has a tough time fitting in at his new school until his impressive basketball skills are revealed in gym class, which catches the attention of Jules, one of the most popular kids in school.
Jules invites Vance to play in the underground sport known as dueling, a violent version of two-on-two basketball.
Over the next few months, Jules and Vance play a series of duels, increasing Vance’s popularity and winning him the attention of Lena, a beautiful girl in school. However, it also earns him the scorn of Maurice, the city’s most ruthless dueler.
